The purpose of this site is to provide an online community which supports the anonymous posting and answering of questions, expression of opinions, exchange of ideas and information concerning the US Federal Government’s inner workings. Governmentuncovered provides a one-stop shop for all things governmental for Federal workers and US citizens.
The Goal
Create an atmosphere of trust where people, for the purpose of creating efficiency, can share information and express their views on the inner workings of their government. People can share valuable “been there, done that” knowledge to help others overcome obstacles or to answer questions.
Federal Workers
Here you can exchange information. You can ask for help, answer questions, find information and express performance concerns without fear of reprisal. Topics such as policies, procedures, programs, projects, contractors, outsourcing issues and circulating rumors can be addressed here.
US Citizens
Here, in the same community, you will be able to ask and answer questions, comment and discuss your dealings with the Federal Government’s bureaucracy. People always have needs that are not being met by their government, whether it is resolving a missed benefit check, a question about a particular program or just a problem about where to look for an answer. There is a vast untapped resource that is available to help – the people themselves. People generally like to share, and everyone believes in helping others. A US citizen and/or a Federal worker can answer your question or post advice on how you can get the information you need.
Therefore, Federal workers and US Citizens can help each other resolve similar problems they themselves were faced with when dealing with the government.
